How to create error pages on cPanel

Articles on: Web Hosting

Creating error pages will make your website look more professional as having a bog standard browser error page looks boring. This article will teach you how to create error pages on cPanel!

Creating an error page

  • Login to your cPanel account and find the "Advanced" section. Then, click on "Error Pages".

  • Select the domain you would like to apply a error page on.

  • Select the status code you would like to create a error page for. In this case, we will choose 404. A 404 error code means that it is missing. This usually shows up when someone types in a URL or requests an image that does not exist. If you would like to choose a specific error code, click the "Show all HTTP Error Status Codes" button.

  • Here, enter in the HTML of your error page.

  • Once completed, click the "Save" button.

Your error page is now applied to your website / domain!
