You finally have a database. Time to add a user to access the very important database! How else are we going to store data on how amazing sparked host is?

Anyways, Let’s learn how to create a MySQL user on cPanel.


How to create a MySQL User on cPanel


  • Login to the cPanel dashboard. You are able to log in using the button on the web hosting package.

  • Once logged in, Head down over to the “Databases” category and select “MySQL Databases”.

  • Here you are able to create new databases, and users and modify existing databases and users.

  • Under the “MySQL” section, fill out the form. This is where you will name your user. Your overall username name will be _< name>. For example, sparked3_website. You will also need to make a secure password!

  • Click “Create User”. The MySQL user should now be created!
